They give their time unselfishly
No payment do they ask.
Each job they do
Their love shines through.
They glory in each task.
Their time is well invested
It’s others’ needs they meet.
In solving others’ problems
Their own they oft defeat.
We need to learn from volunteers
A lesson that they know.
It’s giving that brings big rewards
Not just a seed they sow.
The warmth they feel from bringing joy
To others whom they serve.
Gives them a strength and peace inside
That others can observe.
Each one of us can volunteer.
We have some time to lend.
To gain this peace, we can start small
By helping one close friend.
