God loves us! This is difficult to believe when we come from a background of rejection and hurt. God really loves us and accepts us right where we are, with all our past and all our baggage. Scripture tells us that He loved us while we were still sinners. We don’t need to clean up before we come to Him. In fact we can’t clean up without His help.

Our hurts, anger and fears block God’s love. When we surrender these to Him, our hearts open up to receive. And as we get closer to Him, He shows us the root causes of the blockages so we can release the pain we have been carrying.

God sent His Son Jesus, not to condemn us, but to save us. Be sure to read 1-1 The Gospel of Christ. Jesus said it is not the healthy that need a doctor but the sick. When we receive this love, we are to love and forgive others as He loves and forgives us.

He has so much He wants to give us, if we just open our hearts to receive. See the other teachings in Part 2 for more on God’s love and healing power.
